My passion for art has been present ever since I was a child. I played with paints and markers, doodled funny characters, and never followed the conventional rule of “colouring in the lines”. When I was in grade school, learning about and curating my own art was my passion. These playful times led me through many styles and changes in my artistic journey.
At the moment, painting on jackets is one of my current favourite forms of art, because people are able to make a statement and prompt conversation while wearing it. I believe art should be flexible while boasting a change within style and fashion. I was encouraged and inspired by my mother, an art major and avid Fluevoger, to share my creative designs on the Fluevog Open Source Footwear page. The design for the shoe I submitted was influenced by the characteristics of old English brogues, mixed in with a little bit of punk culture.
With this new pair of shoes built by Fluevog, outfits will look even more complete and hip, and give that extra pep in a person’s step. Thank you to all the people at John Fluevog Shoes who could make this wearable art form travel from paper to reality!
