Loved and Lost

I was so ecstatic about these boots when I finally was able to buy them.. you can see this from my first review and how Id basically waited my whole life for them.

I am now unfortunately completely heartbroken by them. Initially i had to exchange my size 10 for 11 even after having been fitted in the 10 in store by a lovely associate. I just barely made the exchange cut off and got my 11's and although they were still tight i was assured they would loosen up and become the perfect fit. Well thag never happened.....and I tried...trust me I tried... my scars from blisters can back me up. I even tried stretching the boots and they still were just too tight, which is odd as my feet are on the narrow side though I do have a higher arch. Im a street 10 for reference. I was devastated 💔 There was no way I was going to get these to be wearable and that realization was absolutely crushing. Owning a pair of Fluevog boots was a lifelong dream come true and now that dream was a nightmare as I found myself, like many others, struggling to get through the holidays financially on a very tight fixed income, I made rhe impossible decision to sell my illfitting beauties so that I could afford gifts for my family. I couldn't justify keeping boots that cost me that much that I couldn't even wear, when I was struggling so much to stay a float.

So that's my story on the Olivia and how I loved and lost her and will never forget her.

You know what they say, It was good while it lasted. It truly was a dream come true to get to walk, however painfully, in your boots John. Thank you for the designs that have kept me mesmerized and fantasizing for over 25 years.

My first Pair and I'm Obsessed!!

Let me first say that I have been lusting after the Vogs for over 25 years. Since I was 13 and saw my first pair on a photo shoot in Vancouver. The unique style and quirky design and expert craftsmanship caught my eye and I never looked away. It took me 25 years, and the help of an amazing friend but I recently just bought my first pair and I couldn't be more happy with them. I'd sleep with them on if I could! They are stunningly beautiful and attract looks and compliments everywhere I go. I did size up as they say they do fit short and I have a pretty high arch as well, and they fit perfectly. As with any leather boot they require some breaking in which I was more than happy to do, wearing them around the house while I did chores and things.

There are a few Vogs on my must have list including the Mega Munster Boots, the OG originals, and the Mini. If I could afford them they would already be in my closet or in my feet but quality isn't cheap and for these I am willing to wait and continue saving until one day I can proudly walk into the Gastown store and purchase my second, third and fourth pairs.

Huge and endless thank you's to John for being so wonderfully and unapologetically unique. Your shoes literally inspire creativity all over the world and some of the most beautiful artwork I've ever seen gives credit to your designs. Your ideas and your playful point of view, along with your heels, uplifts people, and we are grateful 😁🎉👏💯
