My Daily Driver

Initially, I was undecided on these brogues. I have narrow feet and was unsure whether they looked too bulky. I was re-assured by fellow Fluezies at the Halifax Flumunity fest this year, that this was not the case. I decided to take the plunge and am SUPER GLAD I DID! I waited about a month to review these to ensure accurate review.

These have now replaced my daily sneakers/hikers/daily out and about footwear.

Fit: Despite having narrow feet, I can snug the laces up to almost full tightness without puckering the top part of the shoe. I take a 7.5 in Vogs, but these fit me like Mellows, I can go down .5 and barely have any toe touch. I can also wear thicker or thinner socks with these.

Conditions for wear: You can wear these in the rain, and some minor slush and snow if you protect the leather. The lift of the sole, allows for no fear of puddles and they have sufficient traction. They are also easy enough to wear in fall and summer should you so choose.

Flair: Despite looking somewhat understated from a majority of my Vogs, they scream subtle style by the details (cut out shapes along the seam lines, white stitching on black leather (also on the welt). If you want to jazz them up, look no further than a different colour laces!

Comfort: Very good! The F-ing Light sole prevents these from feeling clunky (much lighter weight than some of the soles available with this kind of height),and it is so "giving" that you can seriously stealth ninja up behind people. I did experience some contact from the side of the shoe against my left ankle, but I also tend to walk on the outside step part of my feet and with socks this is a non issue. The insoles have a nice springy feel and that contributes to the overall bounce in your step feeling. My first day wearing these, I walked 6000 steps, and climbed a rather steep dirt/grass hill. These are shoes you can walk all day in and not be bothered at all.

Fit

I wear a 10.5 in shoes but Vogs typically size up to an 11. These fit perfect out of the box. Super comfy, I swapped laces for the teal. Love them
