  Rubens was a prolific Flemish Baroque painter whose paintings, centuries before R. Crumb would draw the same, emphasized the erotic and sensuality of plus sized women. 'Rubenesque' is a term used even today, to lovingly describe full-figured women. Built on an exquisite and decadent, 3" Louis the 14th hexagonal heel, the Rubens mary jane pump used a contrapposto of either soft stamped royal suedes or luscious velvet, robust patent straps & tips, and ornate buckles. The Rubens provided your wardrobe with the palette and curves to create your own masterpiece. There's no fashion like old fashion.
