Description

In 1985, John opened his first US store just steps away from the Seattle Pike Place Market. Among the antique dealers, comic book sellers, fishmongers, local farmers, and small family-owned head shops operating in the covered arcades, John felt right at home in his new store. With just enough money to refit the space, John had to sell his car (a 1973 periwinkle blue E-Type Jaguar) to stock his new location (and its stockroom across the street!) with fabulous Fluevogs. Almost 15 years later, John moved the Fluevog Seattle store to 205 Pine Street, right around the corner from the original location of the first-ever Fluevog store in the US.

Continuing the Fluevog heritage by using classic partial Blake construction with soles* and uppers made from hand-polished, high-grain Italian leathers and suede, The 205 Pine Street is a gentleman's monkstrap with two buckles and an instep panel, making it ideal for any classy, modern Fluevoger.

*Please note that there are currently two versions of The 205 Pine Street shoe in circulation — one with a rubber topy on its leather sole (photo 7), and one without (photo 6). If you have any questions prior to ordering, please feel free to reach out to your local Fluevog store.

  • A Show Stopper!

I own several flu vogs, but these ones are definately a show stopper! I have the red and brown colour combo. Whenever I wear these beauties I get stopped in the street! I even had a woman pull my ear buds out in amazement!

Beautiful leather and top of the line craftsmanship, I love my Vog's!

  • The best shoes on the Big Day

I wore a pair of red-and-brown Twin Turbines on my wedding day. Not only did they make me look razor-sharp and dignified at the same time, I danced all night, walked like 10 blocks to our after-party, and stayed up carousing til dawn wearing them. I looked fly, and they felt great. When I looked for them the next morning I expected to find my Fluevogs rendered to smoking carcasses by the night's rigors. Not at all. Those shoes still look fantastic, so much so that I deploy them only after careful deliberation -- I now understand how powerful is their juju. You will love them, and everyone else will love you in them.

  • More compliments than I know what to do with

I coveted these shoes from the moment I saw them in store and stalked them for a couple of months. When they went on clearance I went in store with a pair of grey pants and a blue suit to try them on one last time, expecting to convince myself not to buy them.

The yellow shoes looked absolutely stunning with both and I simply had to purchase them. They also look amazing with dark jeans and are my most complemented piece of clothing I've ever had. I would highly recommend these - they are surprisingly versatile and are also really comfortable!

  • Dismayed

I bought a pair of this double-monk 205 Pine Street Twin Turbines online which was shipped from the Seattle store. I was dying of excitement to get them in the mail. When they did, I was dismayed at the sight that I beheld. The color/stain on the leather were very far from the same, almost as if they were different shoes. I tried to convince myself that it is alright, that it was not real. But, it was not looking good when I wore them together (as you would normally wear fabulous Vogs on both feet!)

I returned the shoes and they should receive it two days from today. I hope they will send me a pair that looks a lot better. They are beautiful shoes and I can't wait to wear them. Hopefully, then, I will be getting as many compliments as you other Fluevogers.

    John Fluevog Shoes

Hi Patrick! We are very sorry to hear about the error that was made in regards to your order. We have been in touch with the Seattle store and are very glad to hear that things have been sorted and that a corrected pair of your gorgeous 205 Pine Streets are on their way to you as we speak! We hope that once you've received them and had the chance to take them for a spin, you'll return to our website and write an updated review of the shoe to let other Fluevogers like yourself know how it fits and feels. Hope you get your hands on/feet in them soon!

  • Black Twin Turbines are wicked

I have half a dozen pairs of Vogs and bought the twin turbines in black in the Granville store. They fit like skin, look like a million and the compliments are continuous. They have become my favorites. Jeans or a suit, I am awesome in these.

  • very cool shoes

I wear a solid 8 medium. I had to take an 8.5 because the 8 were a bit snug - i always wear thin socks.

Love double monk shoes - these are comfy and very good looking with a blue suit!

Soles are super slippery - need to scuff them up a bit

  • Dream Come True

I spent two hours in the store with Neil and Janeice. I own on the Earl of Warwick Coventry, size 11, with uppers tied as tight as possible, but the foot fits perfect with two socks. These Twin Turbines are a dream on my feet, size 11, with a thin add on insole. I typically wear a size 11 nike, 10 Sperry, but 12 in Red Wing and most other shoes, with a small ankle and narrow foot. I have dreamed of a pair of dress shoes fitting so well. My Dream come true, I will own shortly.

  • Love these shoes

I have been looking for an Italian style double monk strap shoe in the darkest brown possible, and these are the shoes I have been dreaming about. The color is a wonderful rich mahogany, the fit is great, but remember; the double monk strap will require you to keep the top buckle open, and then strap it up after you put the shoe on. Some find this annoying, I think this gives the shoe spezzatura (cool Italian style)
