So Sweet
My mom passed away from cancer 25 Feb this year. I inherited her Vogs (she loved all of them). Tragically, she bought these Plaid sweeties very close to the end because she was determined to get better and they made her happy. Mom and I don't share the same size of shoes, however, since she never even got a chance to wear these, I could NOT let them go. I wear them in house as my "slippers" in her honour and to keep her memory and remember the joy she brought.
Comfort: Yes, these fit TTS. I am a 7.5 and wear the 8. They are a smidge loose and were I to wear them outdoors, I would go for exact sizing. These have.a complete thinner leather sole with a vibram type heel cap which will absorb heel impact nicely. When these fully break in as leather soles do, they will fit like a glove! They breath nicely. You could happily wear these all day and not have a care in the world. The cross strap has an elasticized portion which would preclude those with high arches from missing out as they won't cut into your feet. There is enough toe space for people with normal width and perhaps wide feet. Mine are narrow and there is a bit of gap to the sides (again, I am not wearing my correct size here).
Style: I would have killed for these flats if they were done in pink lol! However, the green is sublime and the contrasting pink cross strap really compliments the design. The safety pin style buckle is a lovely metal and is easy to use and suits the minimalist style of these flats.
As an ode to Fluevog: When my dad confronted my mom about buying these (when it seemed pointless to do so), and asked her why in the heck she was spending money on them. She said quite simply, " They make me happy". With that, he mellowed out completely and told her how much he loved her.
