The Big John is back! These boots are true to size with a nice roomy width, making them super comfy once they’re on. That said—don’t be surprised if you need a boot horn (or yes, the "plastic bag trick"—Google it!) to get into them. People with higher insteps may struggle with these at first, but the leather will loosen with wear!

Big John!
I had my holiday voucher burning a hole in my pockets and the fabulous Traisie of Gastown, cheerfully obliged me trying on ALL the boots. I had the black Big Johns in mind before hitting the store but fell in love with the brown. They are a thick pebbly leather and absolutely amazing. I have a high instep and definitely needed the bag trick for one of my feet. After a week of putting the boots on and off a few times a day, I no longer need the bag. The boots are wonderfully comfortable, and look great with pants and skirts or dresses. I’m anticipating years of use with them in my wet, northern pacific home.

Soft and roomy in the calf!!
Let me start by saying these boots are badass!! Both of the colours available are beautiful and perfect for every season. The top of the boots are wide enough for even my larger calves. They are generous enough with the width that my wide foot is comfortable and easy to get into. These will be the perfect edition to your fall wardrobe. I can’t decide which colour to get so I may have to have both, lol!
