  • Update in sizing

I originally ordered these in a 8, but they were too small, exchange them for a nine , and they were still too small, upgraded to a 9, which is 2 sizes up for my normal size and they finally fit. I have a very narrow foot and all the other sizes were extremely tight in the toes. I compared them against my sinead's there really isn't that much of a difference if I put them next to each other. The nine literally fits like a 7 1/2. I did purchase these in the black but it seems like other buyers are having better luck with green ones fitting better. Maybe a softer leather or made at a different factory. But 2 sizes up worked, its crazy that the fit was so hard on these.

  • Metallic daggers with bold buckles

The neutrals I didn't know I needed until I saw them...and was instantly smitten! I wasn't sure about the fit, but a quick email to a fluevogologist confirmed that these would work in the same size I use for other pointy Fluevogs. I am a Street 8-8.5 and a size 9 usually sees me right and works perfectly for this style. The shoe itself is not narrow, but it cuts sharply near the toes so sizing up to accommodate my toes was the right thing to do. The double straps endure I don't walk out of them and they look absolutely amazing peaking out under wide leg and barrel trouser/pant styles. I get lots of compliments every time I step out in these babies.

  • Metallic, Shiny, Gorgeous, Dangerous!

I just kept swearing as soon as I put on these ***** SHOES 😭 I was so worried they would be too small since all the size 11 were sold out, but the 10.5 seem comfortable so far, and I cannot get over how SHINY AND BEAUTIFUL THEY ARE. I LOVE THEM AND I NEVER WANT TO TAKE THEM OFF. Most of my Vogs are a 10, but a couple of outliers are the 10.5 in Tammi Rose, the Haring in an 11 as my go-to "winter boots", and inexplicably an 8.5 in the Morgaine (?????) While they do pinch my pinkie toes a bit, they are otherwise a bit big on me in the rest of the shoe - it's just the toe that is narrow. Same for these. I feel if I were to get the 11's the rest of the shoe EXCEPT the toe would just be too big on me because I have low foot volume and I always have to strap all the buckles on pretty much the last hole. On these, the thinner strap I don't even think can fully come out of the buckle, but I needed to tighten it because otherwise I would have been walking out of the shoe. They are just so gorgeous and unique and pointy and killer that I'll put up with slightly squished toes to have the pleasure of walking around like an extra bad baddie.

  • The perfect pointy shoes but runs very narrow.

I have a very narrow foot and a history wearing pointy shoes. I was quite surprised when I went up a full size and I had absolutely no wiggle room and it hurt to even walk in these. My toes were crammed in there and I have very, very narrow feet. Let me say that I am a street size 7 and I had to exchange my 8 in these for full size and a half of an 8 1/2. They are a bit better but I will have to stretch them a little bit to get them to work. Walking in these is pretty easy for me as i've worn pointy shoes since the mid 1980's. The leather is pretty soft but firm on the edges. As for the style they are incredible, very unique and make my gothic heart as happy as can be. The smaller buckle with the little metal end that's in a point can be a little bit hard to adjust and needs a little work as the buckle metal end is too big to come out of the buckle itself. I had to loosen it as much as i could and move the notch over while curving the leather strap and then put the notch in and pull the end back down. With a little patience, it can be done. They do make my feet look a lot bigger especially since I had to size up a full size and a half. But it just makes them that much more unique. The detail on the other buckle is stunning and easy to tighten or loosen. I am thankful that the sole at point comes out further than the actual shoe. This helps especially when walking not to damage the point as the point usually gets caught on concrete when you're walking and wears out quickly when sole is the same as the point. They are well made and pretty sturdy. I think if you have a wide foot these may not work for you, unless you have very narrow toes. Most of the mary jane's that fluevogs make my heel slips right out of them every time but this my ankle fits perfectly and I have a skinny ankle. I just miss trying on shoes in person at my old Abbott Kinney store, having an narow foot has made it really hard for me to buy fluevogs. My purchasing has slowed down quite a bit. I used to get maybe 5 pairs a year and now i'm down one or two pairs a year because I have to exchange them constantly and mostly they don't work out at all it's very frustrating. I almost gave up completely on buying anymore at all after about twelve years of buying them. I'm hoping we will get a store back in Los Angeles because it is in the heart of california and we really need one. When I saw these shoes it was worth a try and I did have to exchange them and thankfully the second try worked. I also very much miss the connection of the employees, talking on the phone is just not the same as being in person and having them become you're extended family. Thank you for making these beautiful shoes and please. I beg of you bring us the store back to los angeles.

  • Deliberately Gorgeous

I ordered the green as soon as they hit my nearest shop, and I rarely buy a shoe before it goes on sale. Based on advice from Felicia at SF I went with an 8.5, which is one size up from my street size (7.5) and a half size up from most of my Fluevogs (8). The fit is close to perfect for my longish, low-volume foot with long toes. I wore them for 3 hours the first day and had no issues at all, although I didn't walk much. I imagine my toes will complain a bit if I walk a lot in them--pretty normal for a pointy toe. They are actually pretty roomy in width at the ball of foot area, so I think folks with wider feet or more volume would be OK if they size up. Most importantly, they are absolutely stunning. I could not stop looking at my feet all through dinner. It's like a shiny poison green--so delicious.
