John Fluevog has recently been toying with the idea of adding political genius to his robust resume, but he’s never quite figured out how to get his foot through the door of parliament. His inspiration came from a very recognizable Greek myth during a recent story time – he needed to find a way to infiltrate Canada’s capital, and what better way than bringing John Fluevog Shoes to Ottawa. John’s newest store (and Parliament Hill Trojan horse) will be cozily situated in one of his favourite capital city hangouts – The ByWard Market.
Canada is a world player and has influence around the globe, and it feels good to be at the seat (and feet) of that Canadian influence. We opened in DC not too long ago, and it’s seemed a little unfair to not be in the capital of our own country. (This way my political opportunities are wide open.)
He’s been holding out for the perfect location (for a very long time) and he’s finally found it at 61 William Street. The ByWard Market is one of the oldest and largest public markets in Canada and a favourite spot for locals and visitors. It’s a hub of fresh produce, local artisans, cafes and restaurants; and we can’t wait to throw Fluevogs into such an amazing mix.
