Edgy n' Comfy
Who knew pointy mj pumps could be this comfy. I was worried that the cute little cape that hugs your ankle at the back of these shoes would rub and cause discomfort. In fact, I wore these for 17 hours straight on the first day of pulling them out of the box. No issues what-so-ever.
I purchased the burgundy colour and love them. Like some
other posters here, I was worried they might be a little too edgy for me. But once I put them on I felt poised to meet the day with a little extra feist! ;)

Perfect!
I wear an 8.5c dead on. Naomi at the union Square store helped me with sizing. Ordered 9.5. These are perfect! Absolutely perfect. They fit like a dream. The detail on the Buckles is outstanding. Perfect!

My Favourite Shoes!
I was skeptical at first, looking at the Odettes. I was nervous they would be too funky and I wouldn't really love them. After months of contemplating, I went for the white and blacks. I cannot even express how AMAZING these shoes are! They are so beautiful on and are extremely comfortable. My first wear, I had them on for 10+ hours and could have gone another 10 more. I normally wear between a 7.5 and an 8. I bought these in the 7.5 and they were perfect - very roomy in the toes! These have very quickly become my absolute favourite shoes in my closet! I could not be happier - you won't be disappointed with these shoes!

Amazing
I know you might not believe me but these are the most comfortable heels I have ever put on my feet. I normally wear a 6 to 6.5 (6.5 if closed toe) but with the crazy long swordfish toe there is plenty of room so the 6 fits like they were custom made. I am wearing these barefoot on day one and there is no rubbing, no chafing, no breaking in. Sooo happy! I only wish they still had my size in the other colours! Anyone have a blue 6 they are willing to part with?!

Shoe Perfection
I bought a pair of black Odette's as soon as I saw them. I felt as if they were designed specifically for me. I bought my normal shoe size (7.5) and they fit like a glove. I didn't even have to break them in, reinforcing the idea that they were designed for me. I'd love to see them in black & green.

Odette In Burgandy
To wear this shoe is to love it. As an actress I know how important fashion is. FASHION BRINGS THE MAGIC. I chose the dramatic Odette for it's beauty, elegance, versatility comfort and style. Yes, all those adjectives apply to this masterpiece. I wore John Fluevog's burgundy Odette to an actors convention and some of my fellow actors would have asked just the shoes out on a date. Now that's a shoe worth it's weight in gold...A big thank you with many hugs and kisses to Mr. Fluevog for creating this impassioned shoe.

Elphaba wicked!
So when I first saw Wicked live, I was focused on the shoes as much as the musical. Now John has given me the shoes that would have made Elphaba turn fashionista! I have the blue and black and the burgundy are on the wish list. They are a perfect comfortable fit straight out of the box and I think they may be my new favorites. They work with everything from jeans to skirts, day to evening, office (yes truly) to going out.

Pure witch love!
Odette is everything you want in a shoe! Flared square witch heel, Swordfish toe, picture-frame skull buckle, mini vampire collar at the back, perfect 3-inch height... They go perfectly with your best long black lace dress, slinky mini, billowy lace, dagger-hem gown, leggings, or skinny-pants. You'll be strutting like Witch Hazel on her birthday. Serious glamo(u)r!
I was lucky enough to snag the last pair of size 9 black; I wear between 8.5 & 9.5, and the 9 fits my bigger foot with a little insole added. Soft leather, no stretching needed.

Cobalto Love!
Pairing the swordfish toe (nose!) with the skull buckle and a variation on the frugal(!) heel makes a gothy-witchy love child of a shoe! Add the perfectly variegated patent teal-petrol blue leather and you have a shoe that gives me shivers! Oh the delight!
Caveat emptor - the leather soles are *very* delicate. I immediately took mine to a cobbler and had a rubber sole installed. Don't delay, topy today!
I bought my odettes in my street size 9 - I have short toes, high insteps, and very wide feet and they fit snug at first but relaxed a lot on the first wearing. Get thee to your local fluvologist and buy yours - these will sell out for sure!

Work of Art
I, like others, couldn't decide between the blue and the black. Each had their own detail (like silver buckles and silver on the heel) that made it difficult to choose. I finally had a chance to see them in person today and the blue won out! The shoe is patent leather, so the blue is metallic/iridescent. In low light, it looks black, but when the light hits it, look out! They are stunning. I found that the patent leather shoe ran just a bit smaller than the black shoe, which worked out well for me because the black size 8's were just a tad too big, but the blue fit perfectly. I do wish the blue had silver buckles, but the oxidized buckles are a bit more subtle, keeping with the sophistication of the blue patent leather. If you're on the fence about this shoe, jump off and get it. It's every bit as fabulous as it looks in the photos, and then some!

AMAZING
I just received them in the mail at work, Andrea from the Gastown store sized me over the phone knowing what other fluevogs I own, this woman is amazing, not the first time I had great customer service from her. I opened the box and was speechless, the blue on black is subtle but stunning. I had to wear them now, so I tried them and they fit like a glove, I have a high arch and a wider foot and have no issues with pinching. I was wearing jeans and they looked great. I believe that shoes should not have to be broken in but should fit like a glove when you first try them on, these live to that mantra I have. I have been getting compliments all day and feel like a true queen. Thank you John for having me relive the 80's all over again with a modern twist.

Release your inner witch ... because skull buckles! frugal heels! swordfish toes!
I can't say enough good things about the Odettes! I was torn over whether to get the Cobalto or the Black, and finally decided on the Cobalto - because OMIGOD the leather! So rich looking, the blue is stunning. For those worried about the blueness, you can definitely wear these with anything you can wear the black with - it's gorgeous, but subtle. The heel is high, but feels very stable - I don't wear heels often, and I have no trouble with these. I really love the silver accents on the black though, so I may eventually break down and get them too. In the meantime, I got my silver accent fix in the Bella Cohens. I agree with the reviewer who said boot with this heel and skull buckle - I'd definitely buy them!

Get these!
I had been perusing old Fluevog print photos of the long-gone Frugal line, wishing that I'd run across a pair in my size in good condition. Lo and behold, I check out the new women's styles and there is a new shoe called the Odette that pretty much fulfilled everything I was wishing for. Except these are better- they have a black skull buckle and a shiny blue finish!!! Jamie from the Minneapolis store advised me that they are true to size so I ordered 7.5, she shipped them out for me right away, and they fit perfectly (I wear 7.5/38 non-Vog). The widest part of the foot is just barely over 3" in the 7.5, so they are somewhat narrow. It's also a special detail that the finish on the heel plastic is matte, recognizing that other sculptural heels from Fluevog are glossy like the Queen Transcendents and the Baroques.
I'm just so happy to have these! Thank you Jamie for getting them to me so quickly and thank you John Fluevog for releasing this amazing design!!

DIVINE!!!
I ordered these shoes from the San Fran store before they even went online. They're that amazing to behold...but even MORE amazing in person. I wear a 7.5 and found them to be true to real-life size, so if you size up in Vogs, you may not want to with these. The wide heel base makes them incredibly stable (heel is 3.3 inches) and the toes are designed to start getting pointy out past your actual toes, so they do not pinch! The ball of the foot is sort of a spade shape and contours to the foot nicely. They are just so well designed and quite comfortable for heels. The leather is so supple and the buckles...oh, my! The skull buckles! Please, John, put these buckles on some boots, too! They're amazing!!! Thank you, Fluevog, for bringing back the classic 80s/90s looks...I feel like a gothic princess!
