Cubist Cupcake

I bought these shoes three years ago, and they have become a staple in my wardrobe. They have traveled with me and taken me all over different cities. I am a 20lbs man, and these are my yee ol' faithfuls, if I'm going to be on my feet all day and want to wear heels.... these are the ones I reach for first. I had them for two years before I got a topy put on them and they became even more comfortable. I am a men's 11.5 and bought a W14, and when I tell you they have molded to my feet perfectly, they have. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and will always rebuy!

When I had my kiddo my feet grew 2 entire freaking sizes and I had to give up my beloved Sineads to a friend of mine. My Bowie boots still fit but with a heel I knew an 11 would not suffice. I wanted a “*****” boot and these fit the bill and came in a 12. YALL. Perfect size, sturdy, shockingly comfortable for a 3” heel and I normally don’t wear heels (we shall see how I do as the day progresses) but I LOVE THEM. I have almost purchased these a few times over the years including the blue lizard looking ones and I’m glad I didn’t because they probably wouldn’t have fit me now. Fluevog this is my solemn request for more Swordfish shoes in a W12. I got narrow feet I can’t always swing the M sizes. The swordfish is my favorite line. I get all my shoes from you and Trippen. Help an Avante-Goth out.

I can't believe that anyone could dislike these! The moment I tried them on they felt as though they had been sculpted for my feet...so blissfully comfortable and supportive. I have had them for 2 years and worn them many many times, walked miles in them and stood for hours in them. They have never caused any discomfort. Thank you JF for a truly awesome boot!

Not sure what's going on with the recent reviews, but these are some of the best-made boots I've ever purchased. I went a full size up, and thank god I did, because they are so comfortable. I am an avid heel wearer so I'm used to sacrificing comfort for style, but I can wear these boots for hours and not even remember I'm wearing heels! Just go a size up.

These shoes are pretty but the quality is pretty poor. I got these pair of boots in full price and the heel got wear and tear after I wear them at home for just 1 hour. Mind you that I have other high end shoes from Tod's and Bottega Veneta and they did not get wear and tear until a year later. They also have very strict return policy and will not allow you to return or exchange even it is full price and within 14 days of purchase. Forget about the warranty they promised on the website, it means nothing since they will not help you to repair anything for free. For the price you can go anywhere else having much better customer service and flexibility. I would not recommend this brand for anyone. You don't want to waste your money on cheap made shoes and horrible customer service.

I bought a pair of these boots in W12/M10 a week ago and could not walk in them more than 2 hours due to very limited space and it caused so much pain on my feet. I went to the store in SoHo to return them for a refund or store credit, but the manager and staff refused and said there were wear and tear-the material came out from the bottom of the heel. If there are wear and tear after one time wear, the quality is pretty bad. Pretty disappointing experience and will not spend any money here.

Wore 3x and the "leather wrap" came off the heel exposing white plastic. I only went dancing 3x indoors . Buy another brand if you collect "quality boots". They look great, on point fashion wise, and are comfortable, but if you want to constantly spend $150 rewrapping the leather heels after a night out, buy these. Otherwise, buy Frye, Luchesse, or other well known quality boots. These boots are only made for walking and fashion. Not intended to last like the other brands I've had for 30 years.

I’ve had many pairs of Fluevogs, and many, many pairs of boots. My Cubist Cupcakes truly are the most beautiful pieces of art I’ve ever adorned my feet in. I would buy them over and over… Gorgeous, comfortable and can be worn three seasons. I went up 1/2 a size (which I almost never do) and they are perfection.

This boot is not only gorgeous it is truly comfortable. I’ve loved the first time I saw it. Saved up for two years and drove to Chicago John Fluevog store. Jack an excellent person helped me find the right fit and lacing of boot. I can wear these all day as apposed to my Vogs of lesser heal height. The leather is soft and stretches with first wear. The roller bar is the frosting on this fun boot. I have a left foot bunion below my big toe and it is not bothered. I had to practice about 5 minutes in walking but once I found my balance took my little Scottie on a long walk. Buy this boot and you will not regret the cost. Stay Sharp my friend.

I really love these shoes and I'm thinking of getting a second pair. They weren't the most comfortable at first, and it took a few outings to break them in. But after that, I can wear them all night while DJing and dancing. I receive a lot of compliments on them, and they go well with my suits and outfits.

I first saw these boots a few years ago, then my girlfriend bought them and the looked so funky with her outfit, July 2023 my husband & i were in vacation in Montreal Canada when i walked by a Fluvog store my husband couldn’t believe how excited i was, this was my chance to get a pair of these boots, can i just tell you I LOVE THESE BOOTS!! So many compliments first thing people notice is the toe of the boot i like a previous customer put a cushion inside, only because i do it with all my boots. Thank you for a beautiful boot.

I'm sorry to see that others have found these shoes to be uncomfortable. Thankfully, that hasn't been my experience. I've had my pair for about four or five years; and worn them many times--sometimes for hours at a time. Right from the start, I did put a soft insole insert in them. So I recommend that. Although I don't do a lot of heavy walking in these shoes, I think of them as one of my pairs of more "sensible shoes." I've also danced like a maniac in them and had no problems afterward. The only reason I'm not giving these shoes five stars is because of needing to add the soft insole.

Unfortunately I agree with Cheryl...I adore the look of these boots but there is something about the fit of this style that is not very comfortable. When I have worn them it is only for a short time. I've contemplated re-selling them but I just love the look of them. Maybe it's just me.....

I absolutely LOVE how these boots look, but I tried wearing them twice in public and both times I had to take them off after 2 hours. My feet hurt so bad that I took them off and walked in my socks in public, to the uber, and through a hotel. I tried every insert, several kinds of socks and tested them around my home but nothing helps. What a waste of money :(

I have been a loyal customer for years and was terribly disappointed with the quality of these boots and the customer service. The zipper was not sewn in properly and the refuse to fix it. Despite these being beautiful to look at the quality is not worth the price.

I just don’t know what to say……but these boots are so tough and funky…I have them in Black, White Snakeskin, Pink with the orange heel, and in the Camouflage(?)…. I got my eye on the newest Bauhaus Bubblegum Gingham… I’d say that I am a fan of this style of boot…..thee boots make me feel unique and authentic…. Try them you just might love them

I wear a 9.5 in the red slacker tardys and Zachary but I got these in a 10. The fit is perfect. These are very comfortable. Enough so that they can be worn all day no problem. They're so well made and look curiously stunning! My husband gifted these for Christmas. Thankful ! I own three other pairs of vogs. I have only returned one pair and that experience was lovely! Hats off to you hard working folk at JF shoes. Always answering my emails and always just so humble.

I was on the site looking for new inventory, and came across the Cupist cupcakes again. I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed these yet! I purchased them well over 6 years ago, now it’s fall, and covid is starting to fade…. I’ll definitely be wearing my favorite boots out again soon! They can be worn funky or dressy, so comfortable and chic and sleek- what ever you want! They are pricy, but when you think about cost per wear, they are kind of free…. You will wear these gorgeous boots for years!!!

These shoes/boots make you feel so strong and powerful. They are edgy!!! I purchased them a half size up from my size, after reading the reviews. That is, I'm usually a 7, but did purchase 7.5, which was a good choice. The white ones are so sleek and command attention. Wear them on days that you want to conquer the world. They are quite the attention grabber! They are really special shoes/boots. Enjoy!

In 2018 I bought a pair of size 12s (my normal size) and was so sad to find they didn't fit. Back then Fluevog didn't make anything bigger so I gave up on every having a pair. A few days ago I got the urge to search their site to see what was new and was astonished to see that this style now comes in 13s +. The 13s fit!! They're just as soft and amazing as I remember. The laces take a little extra time to adjust upon first wear, but they're a dream to wear. Thank you for making sizes larger than 12s (so that people who truly wear a 12 can fit them)

I got these in black to try for size because I thought I wanted the (on sale) white croc because I never like black shoes. I ended up keeping them and sending two other not black shoes back because they go with everything and make me feel like an assassin. I have narrow feet, long toes, and a very high instep (very hard to fit). I always call the Boston store to check fit since I don’t live near a store anymore. She said to size up unless my feet are very narrow. Which they are. I got my usual 6.5 and they’re amazing. I’m so happy for all the pointed toes happening right now. They let my weirdo feet fit. And now I have a pair of black short boots. Wore them to the eye dr today because it not like I go anywhere else. They were appreciated.

I have about 10 pairs of fluevogs, but I must say these are my favourites . They are the most stunning looking boots in the world . You’ll be almost afraid to wear them because they are soooo beautiful and won’t want to ruin them. But trust me. You’ll get over it once you put them on. I’m usually a 9 in other brands of shoes but my Fluevogs are usually a 91/2 and they fit perfectly !! Totally stunning !!! Xoxo

OMG, I just received my "Swordfish Cubist Cupcake White Croc Boots" that I purchased for my 64th birthday on 12/24. And, what on this green earth can I say. These "bad boys" are the bomb digidy. The picture on the website does them absolutely no justice at all. They are so bad ass that words can't describe them. This is my 3rd pair of Swordfish boots and I am a forever loyalist to this style. Trust and believe when I say these boots make a statement “I'm here and I dare anybody to try and compete." Thank you, John Fluevog, for allowing me to purchase these boots at the sale price. When I initially purchased these boots, they were not on sale and a few days later they were. That's wonderful customer service. Once again, I will proudly do my soulful strut in these boots and I will not see myself coming around the corner in these or my other two pairs of Swordfish boots. If you are in doubt, go ahead and purchase these boots you won't regret it.... So, let me go on with my bad self and strut...because they are “bad mama jammas”

I wear anywhere from an 8-10 depending on shoes, and I went to try these on in a 9 but they were out so I tried the 9.5 and they were PERFECT. Needless to say they came home with me. This particular leather is very stiff and doesn't have a lot of stretch, so definitely better to go up a half size or so to accommodate for that. I have a high instep and these do not rub or cause ANY pain on the top of my foot. LOVE THEM.

This is not my style of Fluevog. But I thought I try it. It’s a cool looking boots! I’m 7.5 but had to go 8.5!

I just got these shipped from New York today, they’re just divine! They’re stiff as hell but I’m grateful I did size up as I like having toe room. It was a bit of a struggle to get the zipper up so I didn’t have to mess with the lacing, but they are really sturdy. Everything about the aesthetic and quality of this boot is top notch and hotter than hades! Can’t wait to break em in and flaunt around town. So so happy I decided to splurge. I’m really impressed.

Not only did I discover that a pair of the old White Snake style Cubist Cupcakes had resurfaced online, but they were located in my local Gastown store. I went t try them on, convincing myself they would be uncomfortable and too high. Wrong, wrong, wrong!!! These boots are deceptively comfortable and secure your foot in place (no wobbly ankles). I tried on my regular vog size 10, unbelievably surprised and delighted they fit and were so comfy - and a gorgeous statement boot too. Love!

Body Parts and the Business were my original favourite style but I wear these much more often, sexy, crazy, cool. Boots that go with everything and raises any outfit to something funky!
