Wanderer

I have had these boots for about nearly 6 years , the quality is magnificent, shoelaces still in perfect condition, the leather still beautiful and I am saddened that in the last year I've had to attempt to repair them at a shoe repair shop because the sole keeps detaching from the boot. Regardless of repair of attaching them back together , they only last 3 months before they fall apart again. Ive been told that due to the rubber like material of the sole there is no way they can permanently stick as the material moves with every step causing it to detach again. Sadly I must say these sole choice is a huge FLAW , in the design choice. For the price I expected more.

I LOVE THESE BOOTS!! So comfortable! I was a little worried about having a short heel on my everyday boots, but I don't even notice them even when I'm doing a lot of walking. I ordered them online in my normal size. Denny from the Haight Street, SF store emailed me to say they run about a half size small and he was able to adjust the size to ½ bigger when I gave him the go ahead. Great customer service.

I loved the style but the Wanderer runs small and narrow compared to my usual shoe size in other brands. They don't come any larger so unfortunately the problem couldn't be fixed and I will be doing without these cool shoes. My toe box is medium width and square and my instep is high. The footbed on these size 12's is 3 5/8" wide x 11" long.

I got the purple. I wear them everywhere. I get loads of compliments and they are unbelievably comfortable. I wear them when i need to walk a lot. I wear them when I need a perk me up feeling. I look down and say oh these are so cool! Easy on. Easy off. Zippers mean no tying. Have worn them tons and, knock on wood... no heel issues.

I bought these in the green color and I get compliments every time I wear them. The lacing starting near the toes are reminiscent of bowling shoes. I’m so glad I bought these in green when they were available.

I have been drooling over these boots since I saw them but couldn't bring myself to purchase at full price. My feet are about 10.5 inches and I typically buy my sneakers in a size 10 (EUR 42). Before the sale i tried the black ones on in a size 11.5 wearing thick socks and they felt so nice. I decided on the purple ones and had to get size 11 and surprisingly they fit perfectly. I will say after walking around for the day my feet pushed against the front of boot so next time I wear them I'll tie them tighter near my instep to keep my feet in place. I love these boots

I love these shoes but I felt compelled to add my review after seeing that another wearer had a similar issue with the heel coming away from the sole after a relatively short period of time. Like the other reviewer I only wore the Wanderers (black) for about a year and not that regularly so to have them come apart the way they did (and right before a trip to Europe where I planned on wearing them!) was super disappointing. I did not take them back to Fluevog because it was over year since I'd bought them but I do think these shoes have an issue with the heel coming away from the sole. Buyer beware. I will add that I have many other pairs of Fluevogs that have stood the test of time so it is probably just this shoe.

This was my first time buying in store and it was so much fun! Normally I wear an 11.5 or 12 in vogs, but ended up in a 13 in these. The style is awesome because they don’t make your foot look big even though mine clearly are. They’re awesome boots and I’m so excited to wear them!

These were my first pair of Vogs (purple)... and not the last! These are so comfy, and go with everything. Great in winter with the non-slip soles. Love them and always will!

Of all my vogs, these are hands down my current favourite. I have them in three colours! They are super comfortable for all day wear. The leather is so sturdy and supportive. The zipper makes them easy to put on and take off . The laces make them adjustable for different socks and foot moods. HIGHLY RECOMMENT

These boots are FABULOUS!!! When I spied them on the site, it was instant love! Stopped in the Chicago store where there was one pair in my size! It was a no brainer they were going home with me! They feel great with or without the thinner JF socks. My first pair of Fluevogs! A special Thank You to Jack in the Chicago store for his great customer service!

Love these boots, but after a year of wearing them the heel came apart from the leather. After reaching out to fluvog for advice they suggested I go to my local cobbler who basically was only able to adhesive the sole to the leather. Which lasted another 6 months or so until it came apart again, which I took them back and then came apart a third time. It’s only on the one heel, the other heel has been fine. But for $300+ boots with minimal wear the first year I was disappointed with my first pair of fluvogs. Love the comfort and style but the quality wasn’t there for me on this pair.

I bought a pair of Wanderers in green about 2 years ago. I wear them all the time, and they still look phenomenal! They are really comfortable, even when walking around all day. I wear a 7 1/2 in most Fluevogs, and that's the size I got for these. I am able to wear a little bit thicker of socks with them but they are also comfortable with thin socks. I am planning to eventually buy them in purple. I definitely recommend them.

I bought these boots last year and I love them. They feel great on my feet and they go with everything. I bought the purple ones and I think I should own them in blue as well. I'll have to save up for them. They are soft and I love the zipper for easy on/off. I recommend them.

Have these is every colour! Narrow fit i initially, but I bought my TTS (wide ball of foot) and the leather stretched to fit me perfectly. Zipper is great for quick slip on and off. The purple is quite a strong grape/Barney colour ad I get enormous amounts of compliments. The blue looks turquoise on the website, but are actually a light blue and very sweet. The height is perfect without being tippy. I have been wearing them non-stop since I got them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I bought the baby blue pair. They are my first pair of Fluevog shoes. I love them. No breaking them in. Super comfy, soft leather. I received compliments the first day I wore them. I think I need to buy another pair when I visit Gastown.

Absolutely adore these in green and black. Wish they would restock this color way! Or have the black lace and sole option in the other Color’s.

I love these boots in purple. They fit well and look great with everything. The laces are flat and you can loosen them for wider feet and the side zipper is a great feature.

My mind was blown when I found out I won the monthly draw! I went promptly to the Vancouver Gastown store (such a good vibe place). The violet magenta color of these boots stopped me in my tracks. So gorgeous, the kind of color that almost hurts your eyes to look at it because it is so beautiful! I am usually a 7 in Fluevogs - East Enders, Adrians and a 6.5 in the Super Fines that has a long toe box. I have a narrow foot so took my usual 7. Super comfy with a grippy, slightly spongy sole . Rhiannon, an excellent salesperson, helped my sister and I for hours try on every shoe imaginable. Thank you Rhiannon and thank you John Fluevog! I’ve been wearing Fluevogs since 1988! You continue to blow me away with the most groovy, unique designs and the comfort of your shoes.

My jaw dropped when I saw these boots, I read the reviews and decided my 10.5ww feet might fit in a 11 especially with the laces going all the way down. Service was quick, I got these beauties a couple of days after ordering and they are beautiful. The boot is lightweight for such a big sole, the leather supple, and a great purple color. My foot actually fit... but, it is snug. I think that I could actually fit in a 12, but only 11.5 is available. I re-ordered and will keep my fingers crossed.

I am thrilled with them! The purple is vibrant and bright, the heel is comfortable, and the rubber sole makes them easy on my joints. They were a bit snug on the side of my big toe at first wearing (I have a wide forefoot) but they relaxed quickly and now fit perfectly. I am a 6.5 in Bellevue and Operetta, 7 in most others, and a 7 fits very well. I love them so much. We will have a great winter together

These boots are phenomenal! The purple are a gorgeous dark magenta and super comfortable out of the box! The heel height and style are perfect. The style is so original and I’ve now ordered the green too! The zipper is so handy; there’s no need to untie them. I appreciate the inspirational saying inscribed on the sole! As far as sizing, I’m usually a 10 1/2 for Vogs and I have these in an 11, to be worn with medium-weight socks.

So this was my first ever Fluevog pair of boots....and boy did I take a plunge! Buying shoes online already gives me anxiety plus with having wide size 10 feet I was pretty nervous. But I trusted the system and after doing some research I determined that the Womens 10.5 should be perfect, and my goodness they were!! I'm absolutely in love. The green color is just to die for and the fit is perfect, they broke in after just a couple days of wearing them to work. The lace up shoe is great for wide feet since it gives me the option to adjust the width where I need it, which is perfect!! And I was worried about the height of the heel since I don't normally wear heels but it's just right, gives me a little lift but isn't too much. I feel like a badass wearing these boots!! And the leather is divine, so so soft. I can't recommend these boots enough!! Thank you John Fluevog for creating my dream shoe!!!

The universe gently whispered that it was finally time for Fluevogs (after lusting after them in high school) when we pulled up to Hotel Epik and I turned to see a Fluevog store front just across the street. Alex was wonderful, and I am completely in love with these magenta wonders. I wore them all around Montreal the day after I bought them and am enjoying wearing them in rehearsals back in Boston. *everytime* I wear them people comment on them, threaten to steal them from me (kidding of course... or are they?), want to know where I got them....etc They are beautifully made, stunning, and yet entirely practical shoes and I LOVE them.

The Wanderers are truly made for wandering. As someone with a wide foot and high instep I often have to break in new shoes for a bit before they are comfortable. I took these out of the box, wore them for running errands all day and then took my pup for a 3 mile walk; no pinching, blisters or foot crankiness. yes! Also, the purple is fantastic. Saving to get the green ones next.

How does John keep coming up with the perfect shoe?! I have been wearing his designs since 1984, and I never get tired of how gorgeous, comfortable, and well-crafted the shoes are—and the Wanderer is no exception. My foot is 9 3/8 inches long and just shy of 4 inches wide at the ball, with full weight on my foot; my Wanderers are size 8, and fit well, with room for a medium weight cotton sock. They are so smoothly finished inside that I took them out for their maiden voyage on a hot, humid day, with a fair amount of walking city sidewalks—no rubbing, pinching, or overheating. The soles are flexible, the heels stable, and the purple color is delicious. My one caveat—and this is my foot, not the boot—is I have to open up the laces to get my high instep inside (yes, even with the side zip), so the fabulous "bowling shoes" lacing style has given way to a standard criss-cross lacing—but the boots still look sweet and function better. Love love love the color but sadly sent back to size issue...Im a street size 10. I ordered a 10.5.. Sadly a tad too short. No size 11, so back into the Flueniverse they go.
