Description

Nathan all day
For over 10 years these have been my daily fav’s and have travelled and adventured. They are getting their 4th set of new soles and continue to put a heavenly spring in my step. Thanks to everyone responsible for this great creation.

The most divine!
After injuring my ankle twice in one year, my chiropractor insisted that I get a more stable shoe with better ankle support to wear for everyday AND long 10+ hour days as a photographer...enter the Nathan! The elastic bit hugs my shitty ankle and my feet feel great even after a long day of standing. Every time I buy a new pair, I remember why I've been smitten with Fluevogs for the last 20 years! #girlscanwearthemtoo

the very best "Chelsea boot" available
I have owned a pair for 2 plus years, and
when the style became a bit trendy, i naver saw a pair more perfect in style, quality, proportion. The Nathan is vintage looking but has a modern fluevog sole that does really well as a city or country boot. Amazingly waterproof i have worn them through nasty puddles in the street, snow, and muddy parks.
you may want an insole if you are a woman with unusually narrow feet.

Almost 2 years on; still going strong.
I bought these in late 2018 and have worn them to absolute death since then, and the shoes are still in fantastic condition. I'm finally getting them resoled (with new Angel soles!) and can't wait to get 'em back on my feet.
Super comfy, super easy to slip on, great grip and tread. A+!

Still Magical...
Amazed to see my earlier review of the light green Nathans still here (footnote: 5 years and hundreds of miles later, they approach the need for a retread, but boy have they endured and beautifully so...) Finally caved and got them in the blue (one loves a steal) and they are as perfect and amazing as I felt with the revised greens... may I keep them five years or more... I would buy the black or brown in a heart beat if I knew for sure the soles would hold up as well as the standard the new blue (and the old green) have been built to...

Floating on Nathan
Thanks Team Fluevog. This is my sixth pair of magic shoes and they are unbelievable! Wrestled with the colour, but Black was the winner. Perfect fit as always right out of the box! Easy on and off with a fantastic full foot gentle wrap around. The sole is similar to the Brandenburg so you know what that feels like. If not, then get some today! The price point is what you'd expect for such quality. Just say Yes, it's only one more letter than No. Now.....what is my next dream shoe?

Quality Control Issues
Ordered a pair of these in black recently. Opened the box and was initially pleased. They looked great and seemed well-made. That is, until I saw the terribly crooked stitching across one of the toe caps. Totally unacceptable for boots in this price range. I returned them, of course. It's a shame, really.

John was right
I thought the Ronalds were the perfect boots. They did, in fact, redefine what I think of as a decent boot. I was wearing them so much that I came to the conclusion that the only way I could save them from prematurely wearing out was to get a second pair of Fluevog boots. I even posted a review of the Ronalds on this site, that I ended by saying that the Nathan looked like a good choice.
Much to my surprise, John Fluevog commented on that review that I would't be disappointed in the Nathan. And, oh my god was he right.
The Nathans are virtually identical to the Rolands in comfort. I've walked miles in both and never regretted it. The avocado green is a gorgeous color, and mint green soles are the prefect complement. Which brings me to the only problem I've had: the first complements I received on these boots happened when I made the mistake of wearing them on St Patricks day and everyone thought I was being thematically correct instead of just stylishly comfortable.
Although, they did notice my boots, which has never happened to me before.
Ever. Not even with my Rolands.
Buy these boots. You'll only be disappointed with them if you want to walk barefoot on a beach and can't find a safe place to stash them.

So far, so good
Have bad the updated green (light sole) and so far they are both distinctive and comfortable... And most importantly seem to indicate the sole issues that have plagued other models seem to be behind... Hopeful that they wear well for the price, but so far, am pleased and eager to see another color hit with this new sturdier sole...

Simple, cool
I was looking for new black boots, and was deciding between the Nathans and the Malcolms. I went with the Nathans for a couple reasons: 1. I can dress them up more than the Nathans (I work in technology) 2. I loved the fact that they're up-scale looking boots with the Guardian Angel sole (lets me feel like I'm wearing a bit of cool, grunge while dressed up). They fit great...slightly tighter than I'd like, but I've stretched into them and they're awesome now!
