Short n' Stiff.
These boots are beautiful. Charming as hell on. But ... I am a standard 8.5 - all my Vogs are 8.5 - and these are too short, and the vamp area is super tight on my bigger foot. As others have said, the heel is also roomy. I know that if I size up for more length, my heels will swim. I have a pair of Emil's that I adore and are an absolute dream to wear. Comparing the two, I can tell that the Whitty's will never fit me as comfortably. The Emil's have raised the comfort bar. I am going to send these beauties back, sadly. You can't win 'em all.

Gorgeous!
Such a beautiful boot, and with a roomy toe box. I have odd feet, as my purchase history indicated a 7 would work but there was the faintest of toe touch when I walked in them. A 7.5 leaves enough room for thick socks in the cold, or an arch support. The leather feels like it will take some time to break in, but I am in love with the gorgeous retro look. Thanks John, I've wanted a green boot for some time now <3 I'm so glad these were restocked!

I love my Whittys!
These are my favourite Vogs! Comfortable and I get comments on them every time I wear them. Got the kids, floral are next! The Derby Swirls hit a bit high on my leg, the Whittys are a bit lower and feel more comfortable for me. Most of my Vogs are 10s but range from 9 to 10.5, these are a 10. Roomy but I prefer that fit.

Beautiful but very stiff leather
These boots are very beautiful however the leather is very thick and stiff. They take some time to break in. I personally found the heel area challenging as I have a very narrow heel and they slip up and down( its a very wide heel space) No the boot is not too big as the they fit fine throughout and any smaller I would have toe touch. I have to put a heel cushion in them to prevent blisters and basically fill up the heel area. I will live ! Just warning those with a narrow heel as its a wider boot for us skinny heeled Vog friends.

I bought these at the festival and was fortunate enough to get them signed!
The endearing doodles by John and Ruth's grandchildren are perfection! They reminded me of a tattoo my daughter drew for me, so I had to have them!!
A lower cut on the ankle is so comfortable for shorties like me! Half sizes too!!!
Absolutely true to size and comfy as clouds!

Confidence Givers
I love the Whitty and the throw-back look. Put them on and you own the room. I have a few tips for these amazing boots. If the top is a bit stiff on your calf, leave the top lace undone. This will also allow you to tighten up the lower part of the boot laces, giving you a smaller fit if you want to wear thin socks vs thick ones. If you hear the leather squeak, simply apply a little clear leather balm to the tongue. Get ready to watch folks look at your feet and give you tons of compliments as you stroll around in these beauties!

WONDERFUL WHITTYs
I love these boots! I was very nervous ordering without trying on first. I’m a bit crippled after multiple broken bones in my feet and femur plus four back surgeries. They slid in as if they’d been made for my rather wide post injuries feet and felt better than without them!!! That I’m not used to!!! They’re gorgeous! Live them!!! 10 1/2 normal size 10-10 1/2.

These boots are amazing! I'm a Street 8, and bought the 8.5. They're still one smiggle too small, but it seems like they'll be fine after breaking in.
This green was my Mom's favorite color. It makes me feel closer to her when I wear them ♡
