Big John est de retour! Cette botte est fidèle à sa pointure et suffisamment ample, ce qui la rend super confortable. Cela dit, ne soyez pas surpris si vous avez besoin d’un chausse-pied (ou d’essayer le truc du sac en plastique – cherchez ça sur Google!) pour l’enfiler. Les personnes qui ont un cou-de-pied haut pourraient avoir de la difficulté à les enfiler au début, mais le cuir s’assouplira en la portant.

Comfort with style
I love a bad ass boot and these delivered.
I wish I had grabbed both colours in the sale...
I ordered my regular size and had slight toe touch so I exchanged them for my biggest Fluevog size and they fit great!! Now if the weather would co-operate I could wear these everyday!
Do treat really well with a dubbin or top coat of choice!! I scuffed the toe on the first wear and the "weathered look" on the toe scraped off. Easy fix with some shoe cream and lesson learned..😬

LOVE these
I knew it was a risk ordering boots I couldn’t try on, but I’m glad I did it. I ordered 1/2 size up from my usual Fluevog size, because I have high arches and I knew I’d struggle to get these on.
Use “the plastic bag trick” to slide these on, and they’re soooo comfortable without even a breaking in period!
The second time wearing them, they’re already easier to get on. Highly recommend- If you’re hesitating about these, give them a try!

Worth the struggle
Deducting one star because goodness these are hard to get into if you have high arches/ insteps. I’m almost always a 6 in Fluevogs but I had to go up to a 7 in this one, because there was no way my foot was going into a 6 short of breaking a bone. (I still can’t get into the 7 in average to thick socks.) The actual boot is roomy and the calves are loose (in the best way) and they are so comfortable, it seriously feels like I’m floating. I love the brown leather, which has a gorgeous slightly “weathered” look and will be gorgeous as it ages. Once you get them on, you’ll never want to take them off, and that may be for the best.

Big John!
I had my holiday voucher burning a hole in my pockets and the fabulous Traisie of Gastown, cheerfully obliged me trying on ALL the boots. I had the black Big Johns in mind before hitting the store but fell in love with the brown. They are a thick pebbly leather and absolutely amazing. I have a high instep and definitely needed the bag trick for one of my feet. After a week of putting the boots on and off a few times a day, I no longer need the bag. The boots are wonderfully comfortable, and look great with pants and skirts or dresses. I’m anticipating years of use with them in my wet, northern pacific home.

Soft and roomy in the calf!!
Let me start by saying these boots are badass!! Both of the colours available are beautiful and perfect for every season. The top of the boots are wide enough for even my larger calves. They are generous enough with the width that my wide foot is comfortable and easy to get into. These will be the perfect edition to your fall wardrobe. I can’t decide which colour to get so I may have to have both, lol!
