Andreas Budiman is a student at Visual College of Art and Design in Vancouver, BC. Apart from being a talented designer, he is very passionate about Music. Andreas describes himself having creative, rich and unique ideas in his head, which led him to enter FluevogCreative.

I love unique designs and everything else that looks extraordinary.

On your first Fluevog encounter:

I have been Fluevoggin’ for a year. I was first introduced to John's Shoes when I was doing research for a school assignment.  I found an article and images of Fluevogs and I thought, “Wow, these shoes are amazingly designed! They’re so unique!”

On entering FluevogCreative contest:

I decided to challenge myself in submitting artwork to FluevogCreative when my instructor suggested the contest as a great opportunity for me to practice my design skills. Treating the FC Brief like a client brief, I practiced being a designer in the industry. I spent a few days researching and perfecting my ideas. I had to make sure my artwork suited Fluevog perfectly.

On the inspiration behind his winning ad So... Play with it!:

'Fun, animated and floral' are the keywords that stood out in my head. Initally, I wanted to create objects dancing in a floral pattern jungle with the Daily Miracle Stunners as I noticed John's spring collection includes a lot of patterns. I executed the creative with a playful, fun and interactive approach, leaving one shoe as a free space for readers to doodle. Maybe someday, the doodlers will send their doodles to John. So… Play With It!

What the does the future hold for Andreas:

My heart simply belongs to Art and Music. My dream is becoming successful in the world of Art and Music.
