Every Fluevog shoe family has a story and because John is an open sketchbook, he’s happy to tell their tales. In this issue, our impactful new Lasting Impressions family is in the spotlight, featuring a sketch from John and his insight into its inception.
“Many years ago, way before electric cars, wireless phones, and even Taylor Swift, there existed celestial, heavenly Fluebodies which we first featured in our Fluevog campaigns in 2006. There were maybe 20 different ones, all proudly taking up attention, front-and-centre, in our marketing.
Like any and all celestial and heavenly sightings, they gave (and still give) lasting impressions. That’s why this season we reproduced some of the images from these bygone eras onto the leather of our new shoe family and named it “Lasting Impressions”.
Like all angelic sightings, these are not to be forgotten and are true classics. They remind me somewhat of shoes I sold in 1971. Yes, people were alive back then and yes, there was definitely a groove going on and yes, there was boogie dancing happening at the disco. More importantly of course, there were psychedelic phenomena happenings. You know, like otherworldly events and sightings. Can you dig it?
