That was what was asked after collecting the work from the pairs of artists for this show of ours. Can similar sensibilities seemingly mesh seamlessly in touch and/or materials, even if they differ in ideas? Or do ideas congeal and materials fight it out visibly? To react, dictate, or submit – or a balance of all of those.
A great experience whatever the outcome and I’d like to give big thanks to the participating artists and their adventure into the unknown, and to the The Peanut Gallery’s director, Tanya MacIntosh for letting this off-the-rails freight train head to a stop wherever that might have been.
