Funky Friends of Fluevog: The Curtis Family C-notes

When creative soles meet, it’s a beautiful thing indeed. For Spring/Summer ’26, one of John’s inspirations was the fabulously funky Curtis Family C-notes, a joyful family band from San Francisco known for their original songwriting, multi-instrumental skills, and proclivity for wearing Fluevogs during performances and music videos.

With their sounds of ’60s–’70s Bay Area funk, retro soul, and jazz in mind, John composed the 7th Heaven Curtis, a lace-up derby shoe featuring our iconic crown-shaped tongue.

The fun didn’t stop there! We had the opportunity to film the Curtis Family performing “Living in High Frequency” from their latest album Awaken III right in our Haight Street store (shout out to store manager Denny for the new friends!). If you’re like us and can’t stop singing praises of the C-notes, stay tuned to check out upcoming videos of the family styling their favourite Vogs from Spring/Summer ’26!
