We’ve already toured everywhere from San Francisco to Seattle, New York, Minneapolis and more on Streetvogs, so it’s high time we made it to the American capital for a brand new chapter of street photography. Born and bred in DC, the very talented Rashid, aka. @thatpma will be taking over our Instagram accounts to show us how this Capital City looks through one photographer’s lens.
Here’s a bit about Rashid in his own words:
DC boasts many technically skilled and professionally established photographers and a diverse creative community, for sure; I’m just one voice of eyes. I grew up here, good parts and bad, learning from both and loving/hating along the way as I seek what DC means to me and how that relates to America and the rest of the world. The gray space where introversion meets earnest desire to connect and contribute is where I discover my sense of humanity. Writing about it, photographing it, making art…those are as much learning processes for me as they are my secret love and thank you notes to life.
Fluevog asks that I share this with you over the next few weeks. I will. Together we’ll see the nation’s capital in its people, places and things with a view to our unique souls, and I like to think along the way we’ll find a lot in common. Let’s see!
