Every Fluevog Shoe Family has a story and because John is an open sketchbook, he’s happy to tell their tales. The Sole Talk Family actually has its origins in our well-loved Wonders Family. From wanting to achieve a similar look, shape and feel as the Wonders but with more robustness and fortified comfort for everyday wear with rubber soles, the Sole Talk Family was born.
The message on the sole reads Signs, Wonders, Watching, Listening. Wonders are about the small daily miracles that we encounter. They can easily go unnoticed when we’re not paying attention or distracted by other things. Again, I encourage you to acknowledge them when you can and be thankful they’re here. Watching is about not interfering or fighting against these signs and wonders when they come. Instead, watch them like they’re showing you a hidden window into your own universe. Listening is about being still from time to time so that we can hear what our souls are saying and then interpreting what those signs and feelings mean. “Sole talk,” or as the song goes, “jive talking,” is the universe speaking to us in humility. Just listen. This is wisdom talking.
